If you smoke weed it’s because life has graced you with a pot dealer – unless of course you’re lucky enough to be live in a legal state and ship marijuana directly to your door with platforms as Eaze. But those of us who still live in the dark ages have to meet with our pot sellers in order to smoke some herb. Everybody who buys from marijuana dealers knows that they can be very interesting characters. After visiting some marijuana dealers, I go home and smoke a joint and laugh about how funny the encounter has just been.

How To Find A Weed Dealer?

For decades, weed smokers have had to acquire their marijuana products by getting in contact with a local “weed dealer.”

A weed dealer is usually someone who grows and/or sells weed products on the black market, and it’s a job that still exists in both legal and non-legal states.

Many weed dealers in medical or recreational states have shifted from the black market to a fully legal system where they sell their products to dispensaries to be sold to customers that way, or they are licensed as a “caregiver” and can legally take patients under their care. But if you live in a state where marijuana is still illegal, you don’t have the privilege of walking into a store and buying legal exotic weed or assigning someone as your local caregiver. In this case you have to get a little creative with your research so you can find a weed dealer you can trust, and who provides quality products that are safe to consume. So how do you find the right dealer?

How To Find A Weed Dealer Near You?

One of the biggest challenges for people who live in non-legal states is finding a dealer they can trust, but it’s definitely possible to find a decent, reliable person on the internet. Sometimes you have to get a little creative in order to do so, such as the many people in our comments who are searching for dealers in specific cities.

With the rise of social media and private selling groups on sites like Facebook, it’s become easier to find weed dealers online when you don’t have the ability to check a site like Weedmaps. If you’re paranoid about having your internet search tracked down by authorities, you might want to consider a burner phone and second social media account to contact people who are selling a product you’d like to buy.

Unfortunately, the downside to finding a weed dealer online or on social media is that the marketplace is ripe for scams, so it’s not unlikely that you’ll find someone trying to get you to pay upfront and never deliver, or who has a low-quality or even fake product that will leave you with an empty bowl. Never pay upfront, and if you’re considering having someone deliver your product, you should meet with them in a public place – even a parking lot is great – until you trust them and develop a business relationship you’re comfortable with.

How To Find Weed On Craigslist?

If you’re not fond of social media, another place to find a weed dealer online is through Craigslist. All you have to do to start your search is type “420” into the search bar and you’ll see dozens of results for dealers in your area. When you choose to contact someone in your area, make sure not to give out any identifying or personal information, and definitely don’t give them money upfront. Craigslist is a well-known marketplace, so it’s always ripe for scammers and you can never be too careful.

Many Craigslist dealers will offer delivery, but again, you should meet them in a public place rather than letting them come to your home and find out where you live, at least until you fully trust them. If you are from out-of-town and trying to look for a dealer in an area you’re unfamiliar with, we advise against going to their private location and instead find someone who can meet you in a public place. Even if they meet you in your hotel lobby or parking lot, that’s safer than going to a stranger’s home or having them come up to your room. Always use caution and assume someone is a scammer until they prove they’re not.

Is Finding A Weed Dealer Online Too Risky?

LocalDealer

Finding a consistent dealer in your area is one of the biggest problems for a stoner in states without legal marijuana. Having a dealer that is consistent, on time and has good nugs is something that every stoner needs. We’re all not as lucky as those in California, Colorado, Washington and other states with medical and recreational laws in our favor who can walk with their stoner look freely without any worries. If you’re stuck in states like North Dakota, Florida, Texas and the list could go on, finding a dealer is tricky at times.

That has lead to a lot of people moving to online to find green. Social media has taken over a big part of our lives. Just about everybody has a Twitter or Facebook. People are online for a large part of their day: searching Google, posting memes, and asking for weed?

I’ve seen so many people these days looking for weed online (weed box, weed buds, weed edibles, etc.). People have asked in our comments tweeted there email address saying what city they need bud in, forums and the list goes on. If you have a large enough and/or loyal Twitter following, I would not be surprised if this works almost every time. You still run the risk of it being a setup. You never really know who is running that Twitter handle on the other side.

The biggest thing that has drawn me to see so much “online dealing” is our comment section of our ‘How To Buy Weed Like A Pro‘ post. The comments in that section fly all day with people asking for weed in certain areas with their email.

I’ve seen people go on there telling people their prices to contact them. I did a post about how to mail weed through the mail. It was all basic knowledge with help from a book called The Art Of Sending Marijuana By Mail. It had insights about delivery companies, laws and stuff you would need to know about sending marijuana. But, blatantly putting online what you have for sale is just asking for some trouble. Then following through with it.

Most of this comes to light after a Louisiana teenage girl had the police at her doorstep after posting a picture people smoking marijuana on Social Media Instagram. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Department said to WAFB that they started an investigation over the picture.

A detective with the narcotics division saw a picture of people with marijuana on a social media site and began an investigation.

This may have been a random investigation but if it happened to her, it most likely can happen to any of us. All she did was post a picture of marijuana. Imagine if you were caught trying to buy some weed from an online cop? The chances do seem very small of getting caught. However, if they went after this girl. Imagine what they would do if they saw illicit selling of marijuana via the internet? Maybe the FEDs wouldn’t care?

I’ve seen first hand on my personal timeline of people trying to buy and sell marijuana on social media. This is much less sketchy than on a message board or a comment thread. You somewhat or personally know these people you follow on Twitter or Instagram. It is a long shot but if you have enough followers I think you can find weed just about anywhere. Most of the time dealing with a fellow stoner should be fine.

It’s those random ones that get robbed or worse. It’s kind of like Craigslist’s for weed. Unless you actually use Craigslist to find weed? I really hope you don’t. Please, don’t use Craigslist’s to find or sell weed. Don’t worry Instagram is safer to sell? As you can see, it is pretty laid back with nobody really sketched out. It’s not just with weed. I blurred out all of the names. I wouldn’t want these people to get in trouble from me writing about this topic.

‘The police can’t catch everyone in the streets selling or buying marijuana. The cyber police definitely can’t catch everyone online doing the same. If there’s a market for online marijuana, there will be people who take the risk.

20 Types of Marijuana Dealers

Even if you live in a weed friendly state, you know at least one of the dealers on this list. It’s why we love them!

The Shady Dealer

“No – don’t meet me at my house! Meet me in the alleyway between Applebees and that strip-club” – I think that sums up the shady dealer. Why doesn’t he ever want to meet in front of his house? It’s like they want to be caught in the act and always meet in the shadiest place in town. The shady dealer always asks to meet somewhere dodgy… and will never let you come to his place.

Paranoid-o!

The paranoido and the shady dealer are usually friends! If you’re buying from a paranoid pot dealer, you can’t ever text him anything. You gotta call – and you have to be really inconspicuous. How many times a week could someone want to come for a “coffee” with you? As if that isn’t shady, too! He always wants you to come alone and sometimes he won’t even tell you what his real name is.

The Aggressive Hustler

This dealer doesn’t think about anything other than making a sale. He calls you every time he has a new supply and especially if he has other illegal goodies. It’s like the guy can’t actually leave you alone – and for potheads it’s usually the other way around!

Part-Time Dealers

This is the dealer that doesn’t want to be a dealer all the time. Maybe he even has a day job. That means you know for sure his dealing phone is off between 9 and 5, so if you have that craving you have to wait for the right hour!

The “money isn’t the most important thing” dealer

There are dealers that love money – but not too much. He’s a good one to keep around. In fact, he probably likes weed more than he likes money and is excited to throw you a couple of grams for free every now and then because he wants you to get extra high.

The Flake

Could this dealer be any more frustrating? There’s nothing worse than being told that you’ll get a call in 15 minutes and then never actually getting it. Sometimes dealers have even told me to meet them somewhere and they’ve never showed up. Now that’s a flake! You probably end up getting your weed the next day – but you’re pissed because you had to wait.

The Sleeze

Ladies, be careful. This guy doesn’t sell weed because he loves it or because he wants to make money. For him it’s an opportunity to meet chicks (or guys depending on his preference). There’s always some sleezy insinuation – he wants a sexual favor in return for buds. It puts a gnarly edge on smoking herb. I rather just avoid this dealer all together.

Buddy buddy!

I think it’s nice when people want to make friends. But sometimes you don’t want to mix business with pleasure. Some dealers are downright weird and there’s always weird people hanging out at their place. But they always want to have a super long conversation with you as if you’re best buddies. The entire exchange becomes a fight for you to get the hell out of there.

The Delivery Boy

marijuana dealers

If you could find a dealer that delivered pizza and weed, he would be a keeper. But if he just delivers weed, he’s a keeper too. It is awesome when a dealer will deliver your weed straight to your door – or do a mailbox money/weed exchange. It takes all the hassle out of having to find the time to get over there to score some herb. Despite the fact that driving around with weed is dangerous, he doesn’t mind going for a cruise.

The infomercial

Everybody remembers arriving at a dealer and feeling like you’re watching an infomercial. There’s nothing more annoying than when a dealer treats you as if you were born yesterday and have no idea about buying weed. A weed customer already wants to buy it… it doesn’t need to be an infomercial.

The Stingy Dealer

This marijuana dealer will sit there perfecting the scale until it is exactly what you’re going to be paying fore. Even if you’re his best customer, he’s never giving you more. And even if you’re a dollar short, you’re not walking away with buds.

Mr Reliable

Hallelujah! You found a rare and precious kind among weed dealers if you have a reliable one on call. He’s always stocked and he is always where he says he is going to be at exactly the time he says he’ll be there. This pot dealer probably doesn’t smoke weed himself.

The Backwards Dealer

The backwards marijuana dealer doesn’t actually care about making money off hustling weed. He just hates being out of pocket for his own habit. So he buys an ounce at a time, sells half of it to make up for what he spent on the other half. He never wins and never loses – but he always has something to smoke.

The Gift Giver

weed dealers

The gift giver almost always smokes you up when you come over because you buy weed from him. In most cases, this dealer is pretty chill. But if he’s kind of annoying, then you have to go through the pain of smoking a joint with someone who won’t shut up every time you want to stock up.

The One Hit Wonder

One Hit Wonders are a strange kind among pot sellers. For one reason or another, you only ever bought weed off them once! You got along great, you got a great deal and the weed you smoked was good. But then they disappeared off the face of the planet! This is an interesting phenomenon in the weed dealing business.

The Social Dealer

Most of my friends are social dealers. They don’t want the stress of being a full time pot dealer, so they just bring some extra buds to parties to sell. When you’re at a party and looking for smoke, you always hear “I bet X has some weed to sell”. But of course, you can never score off them during the week.

The Stationary Dealer

This hustler probably doesn’t have a phone. I think most small town dealers avoid phone conversations because it’s easier to be caught if you’re the only dealer in a small town. But you basically know where he’s going to be hanging out every day – so there’s no real need for a cell phone. You know exactly where to find him!

The Phone Dealer

The opposite of the stationary dealer is the phone dealer. You actually never know where the phone dealer is going to be – they never even seem to be at home. Do they ever sleep? But you can always call them. And they always want to meet somewhere different. It makes buying weed a surprise every time!

Well-known dealers

There’s up and a downside to well-known dealers. On the plus side, they’re usually well known because they always have stock and it’s usually high quality marijuana. On the other hand, when they are out of stock, everybody you ask keeps telling you to see that guy! If he’s the only one that everybody knows, then when he’s out of stock you’re in a little bit of trouble!

The middleman

The middleman never keeps weed handy. He always has to call his dealer. It’s a little bit annoying, because you never know when or if he’s going to call you back. But you can guarantee that he has a million dealers lined up and always wants to make a buck for being the middleman. This dealer’s weed is usually more expensive than others because he wants to make it worth his while.

Everybody knows a weed dealer that fits one of the personality profiles listed in this article! It’s the quirkiness of a pot dealer that makes them so interesting – or annoying!
