2000 Pound Marijuana Case Dismissed After Illegal Search
So here is a story for the ages. The cops were investigating a guy for a while and although they were right and he was moving lots of weed, they jumped the gun and searched his place before they were they got the warrant. Not smart fellas. I wonder if the “criminals” got the weed back though. Something tells me they didn’t. If the cops confiscated it, unfortunately that is still a victory for them in my eyes. What do you guys think?

2000 pounds is NOT "almost ton tons". It would be exactly ONE ton. Math fail??

if they gave it back to him they'll like just arrest him right there and then for possession.

Maybe if the guy didn't have foil in his front window, he might not have been under surveillance in the first place. Just a thought.

You think it's a joke that cops need a warrant to search your house? You think the judge should have said "Well, yes you *should* have had a warrant but now that you found the stuff, we'll let it slide." Do you think the Constitution is a joke too? This part of the legal system is working as intended. When pot users ( and distributors ) go to jail for longer than rapist and murderers, that's where it's a joke.

ad populum: You appeal to our belief that murderers or children should get caught no matter what, an emotional reaction to the image of a basement littered with children's bodies.
faulty analogy: possessing drugs is not at all the same to the slaughtering of many children.
Did you commit blatant logical fallacy? Yes.
