Barry Bonds legal issues continue

Home Run King, Barry Bond was charged in a new indictment Tuesday with 15 felony counts of purjury.Bond is accused of lying to a grand jury when he denied that he knowingly used performance enhancing drugs.
The new indictment was issued in response to a February ruling by U.S. District Judge Susan Illston, who agreed with a defense motion that the initial indictment was potentially vague and ambiguous. The primary point was that the government charged several different lies in single counts, presenting potential problems for a jury.
I really don’t know what the point of this is because his original indictment only had 4 felony charges as opposed to the 15 now but if he’s convicted he won’t do anymore time. Theres no point, I guess they just want to make him look worse.
For all you cats that study the law library, heres his actual superseding indictment.
