As soon as I read about this story from StuffStonersLike.com happening in my own backyard I knew I had to share this with the HMJ faithful. Many of you may remember last year’s wildfire in the Valley and Butte area in California. The damage to area was immense, so bad that President Obama declared the fire a federal disaster. Relief from the blaze has came in many forms, from volunteers to private donations. I am proud to say that my favorite collective, Magnolia Wellness from Oakland, and Bloom Farms from San Francisco raised $25,000 and is donating the funds to multiple charity organizations aiding the victims and wildlife touched by the inferno. The donation was broken up and distributed to these recovery, nonprofit organizations:

Mountain Ranch Fire Relief: ($10,000)
CalaverasGrown: ($5,000)
Mountain Ranch Resource Center ($5,000)
The Resource Connection ($5,000)
According to StuffStonersLike.com, The donations will be used to help in a variety of ways including distributing food, gas, propane, firewood, and water tanks. The goal is to help pick up the pieces and restore the area and people’s lives back to normal. I hope this catches the eye of persons of power in a positive way and sheds light on the community that this organizations create and support. Hail Mary Jane and myself thanks Magnolia Wellness and Bloom Farm for their generous donation and aid to their state.
