Brazilian Artist’s Smokin’ New Art Work

Yesterday Brazilian artist Fernando de La Rocque debuted his latest series of work entitled “Blow Job”, which is a set of smoke-print images of controversial political and religious icons. As shown in the pictures de La Rocque creates these prints by blowing cannabis smoke onto parchment covered in a stencil. The result is the exposed paper is burned and resinated to the point that an image begins to appear. Why create this stoney art? de La Rocque feels:

“more important than freedom to smoke marijuana is the freedom to think about it and make art with it.”

What do you thinks about de La Rocque’s smoke-prints? Cool, or kinda plain jane? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
