California Lawmaker Looks To Prevent Firing Due To Cannabis Consumption

Yes Greenies you read this right. Sen. Mark Leno proposes laws saying that qualifying individuals cannot be fired solely based on medicating on marijuana so long as it is not on the job premises or during work hours. This is a step very necessary because in 2008, the California Supreme Court ruled that nothing in state law prevents employers from letting a person go for testing positive for marijuana; card-carrying medicator or not.

Of course this law is null in void for people who hold positions where other people’s safety is involved like doctors and drivers.

This shows that there are pro-cannabis legislation out there; just have to do more then vocally support it by voting. Real rap.
