No need to Blame Canada this time, maybe the weed though. A Canadian man traveling home from British Columbia to Newfoundland somehow made it across the U.S border with a pound of marijuana. He claims his GPS took him with the shortest route and that happened to be threw the U.S. By looking at the cities on a map, it really doesn’t look like that would be the shortest route. But I don’t know exactly where he was going though.
He is being held on a $5,000 bail right now in Maine. The Newfoundland man wants to settle this as soon as possible. I couldn’t imagine being caught in another country like him. It looks like he will just be fined and most likely sent back to Canada where he might not really be in trouble, but you never know. Lets hope he doesn’t get any jail time in the U.S and I bet next time he doesn’t take the shortest route. Damn you, TomTom.
