Even though he has his MMJ license in the state of Colorado from back injuries received in a car accident, NASCAR driver Ronnie “Speedy” Hults has been suspended indefinitely from the league. Under state laws, employers reserve the right to terminate anyone for cannabis use, prescribed or not. On Tuesday a spokesperson for NASCAR issued a statement regarding their suspension but later on in the same day retracted it.

I love extreme sports. MMA, Stuntin, BMX, but this one takes the cake. World renowned freestyle motorcross/rally racer Travis Pastrana broke the old record of 171 feet by jumping his rally car 269 feet onto a floating barge. I know Subarus pack a punch, but I never would have imagined they could do this. Enjoy.

Ahhh!!! I just got word that Andre Agassi’s old hairdo was a wig! In his new tell all autobiography, Open, he admits that wore a wig. Now I kind of wish that it feel off in a match for him. Here is one story from the book where he came kind of close.

“Then a fiasco happened,” he said. “The evening before the match I stood under the shower and felt my wig suddenly fall apart.

“Probably I used the wrong hair rinse. I panicked and called my brother Philly into the room.

“It’s a total disaster!” I said to him. He looked at it and said he could clamp it with hair clips.

“It took 20 clips. “Do you think it will hold?” I asked. “Just don’t move so much,” he said.

“Of course I could have played without my hairpiece, but what would all the journalists have written if they knew that all the time I was really wearing a wig?

“During the warming-up training before play I prayed. Not for victory, but that my hairpiece would not fall off.

He just killed that legacy.

I’m a long time UFC fan. I’ve known of  it’s existence since it first hit pay-per-view, and I remember my father buying UFC 1 for me on PPV, and it was incredible. My father not being a rich man, we couldn’t afford to buy the PPV’s, and over time I drifted away from the sport.

But over the last several months I have been recording everything off of Spike TV relating to the UFC, and have been watching hundreds of hours of fighting. I’m not really sure why I returned to watching mixed martial arts, other than the fact that I’ve become disillusioned with some of my favorite sports, namely baseball.

The upcoming UFC PPV Main Event will feature two former champions of the octagon, Rich Franklin against Vito Belfort. I’ve seen many of Franklin’s fights, and being a hometown boy (Cincinnati), I’m rooting for him. He doesn’t really do anything flashy, but always turns out a skilled, workman-like performance, that has led him to a 27 and 4 record.

Belfort, on the other hand, is explosive, and if he still has his speed, Franklin will have to turn out one of the best performance’s of his career to come out on top.

I don’t know if I should call this guy the luckiest bastard in the world, a jedi or just plain awesome.  Amateur golfer, celebrity tourny, one shot at a hole in one for a million bucks.  This defies odds or even reality that this guy nails this shot.  I hit my first hole in one in July and it was one of the happiest moments of my life, I can only imagine if I won a million bucks for it, I probably would have dropped dead from a heart attack.

This is from a couple of nights ago but is worth another look. Here is a fan that got a little too close for comfort. This is one of the rare situations when you a straight guy is glad that another guy kissed him. He could have been one of those psycho fans with a knife or something but instead he just showed him some love and probably got permanently banned from the stadium for it.

It was announced today that World Wrestling Entertainment heavyweight champ Rob Van Dam will be speaking at this year’s NORML convention in San Francisco, CA. Van Dam is well known for his high flying skills, in and out of the ring. He is recognized as one of the most acrobatic professional wrestlers, winning numerous titles in his time with now defunct ECW and currently with the WWE.

In 2006, he was stripped of his title for minor marijuana possession. “RVD” is very open about his love for weed, the best example is his catch phrase “4:20 means I just smoked your ass.” I think NORML has the right idea getting this guy to speak for them, he might power bomb somebody if he gets pissed…just saying…

Here is a video of a very smooth tennis player named Michael Llodra doing his best to get the attention of the young ball girl. It’s always better to have a unique approach with females and I’m will to bet that no guys have ever started a conversation with her by crashing into her like this. Funny stuff!

Here is a video of Usain Bolt opening up a can of you know what at this 150 metre race in Manchester. The race isn’t even close as you can see. If I’m not mistaken, Usain “used to” smoke marijuana. Guess that’s another another olympic athlete that, even though he has smoked marijuana, he is still chillin.

Manny Pacquiao vs. Ricky Hatton [Full Fight]

Manny Pacquiao took it to Ricky Hatton. If you look at Hatton’s face after the first knockdown, you can tell that he knows that he got himself into a lot of trouble. He was valiant though because he tried to fight through it but unfortunately for him, things didn’t work out so well.

Seeing this fight makes me want to see a matchup between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather had his way with Ricky Hatton but it took him nine rounds to finish him off. It only took Pacquiao a round and a half.
