Regarded by scores of hip hop aficionados as the best hip hop album of all time. You can listen to this album all the way through everyday and never get tired of it. In my personal opinion, this track is Nas’ magnum opus. I mean, it samples Michael Jackson for pete’s sake! It’s one of my favorite songs to blaze to, the “dah dah dah dah..” just gets me noddin’ hard when I’m fried. I could bump this instrumental for the rest of my life. Nas was only 20 when he released this as well, which makes it even more crazy. Some emcees complete discographies can’t even touch this track. Ok maybe I’m on Nas’ meat but like he said, “name a rapper I ain’t influence”. Of course besides the emcees before him.
