Artist: Dr. Octagon aka Kool Kieth
Album: Dr. Octagonecologyst (released 1996)
Producer: Dan the Automater
So where to start… This is a sick album. Kool Kieth’s lyricism is unparalleled, not to mention some of the strangest rhymes I’ve ever heard. Couple it with Automater’s spaced out production and you have a perfect song to blaze to. But then again all music is good to smoke to unless it’s like Nickelback or Hurricane Chris. Sober this song is quite strange and even disturbing, but smoke a couple of bowls and you’ll “beware orangutans tappin on ya window”.
If you want to listen to some more of Automater’s production, check out Deltron 3030 with Del The Funkee Homosapien and Handsome Boy Modelling School with Prince Paul.

I saw Prince Paul in Baltimore and he was terrible. I saw Aceyalone there too–terrible. Actually the whole night was a waste of time. I will say I've seen one of the dudes from Freestyle Fellowship at Scribble Jam a few years back, and he was incredible. He battled Mac Lethal to a standstill, and that's where Mac Lethal made his name. Can't remember who advanced, but I was blown away.

Damn that's beat. Prince Paul is a damn good producer. Was he rhyming or what? The last hip hop show I went to was N.E.R.D. and that was a terrible show as well. Pharell had to find out the hard way how many people really listen to his band, i.e. him trying to get the crowd to sing along and no one knew the words…. you live in the Baltimore area by any chance?
