DWH (Driving While High)-How Much is Too Much?

HDNet aired an episode of  “World Report” on Tuesday night, which took a look at driving and the effects of being under the influence of marijuana while behind the wheel. As states begin to consider making MM legal for patient use they are receiving a push back from anti-MM advocates that question the safety of those operating vehicles while under MM treatment.
In Colorado MM advocates recently pushed for a strike down of an imposed legal limit on the amount of blood THC levels allowed for MM patients.

Medical marijuana advocates are very enthusiastic about fighting legislation designed like this since it seeks to issue blood tests to measure the impairment caused by the use of marijuana.

But what McCallister and most any other advocate of “tough new standards” on blood THC levels won’t tell you, is that blood THC levels do not measure impairment at all — they simply measure the presence of THC, which can be found in the blood long after intoxication has passed.

I know sober people who can’t seem to avoid wrapping a car around a pole and I know people who smoke all day every day and are some of the most brilliant focused people you’ll ever meet.
