Exploring History: When Alcohol Prohibition Ended

Let’s look ahead by looking back.  What may happen when cannabis prohibition finally ends?

Here’s a newsreel from 1933. One type of prohibition was ending, but someone must have liked what prohibition did for someone, because four years later, in 1937, federal cannabis prohibition begins.

The first national figure to show some courage in opposing alcohol prohibition was New York’s Governor Al Smith. By way of saying “thank you,” he got the first beer deleivered in his state. Cheers.
