Federal Ban on Synthetic Marijuana Still To Be Enacted

As previously reported, synthetic bud packaged as incense was given a federal ban which was to come into effect the day before Christmas. “Administrative errors” were said to be the reason for delay on the ban in a DEA letter dated January 7th in the federal register. Spokeswoman for the DEA Barbera Carreno had this to say:

We’re still writing the regulations…while we must give the public 30 days notice, that doesn’t mean it automatically becomes illegal. We’re working diligently on it and hoping to get it done quickly.”

Already being sued by four Minnesota shops because of loss of sales the ban would have on their businesses, the DEA is quick to point out how early these lawsuits come as the emergency ban hasn’t even taken effect yet. Expect a final answer to be given sometime after February, so those of you who make use of this synthetic stuff you are in the clear for now.

I know many people enjoy the effects of this JWH-laced fauxijuana, but personally i’d like to see this stuff off shelves and good ol’ kushington in my local convenient stores. Accept no imitations Greenies.
