It's really sad to see the struggles our veterans go through when they come home, and the common solution is to get them hooked on a cocktail of medications that do more harm than good. Well, all that can change thanks to organizations like Operation Grow4Vets, which aims to provide veterans with a free source of medication that we've all grown to love... cannabis! These men and women served our country, whether you believe in the wars or not, and if the state and federal government isn't going to provide them with a safe way to combat things like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), then the people will take matters into their own hands, and hand our veterans a real solution, for free.
At its current state, Operation Grow4Vets is being funded by its founders and by donations from those who care to help those in need. Who are the founders? This organization was founded by Roger Martin, a U.S. Army veteran who struggled with Oxycontin addiction, after being prescribed the medication for the pain he dealt with since the 70's, and his caring son, who grew a true, non-addictive painkiller for him (cannabis). Having gone through and witnessed the type of struggle that many veterans end up going through, the Martins decided to set up this organization to help others avoid the addiction and side effects that often comes with the prescription drugs doctors are more likely to prescribe.
Why would this organization provide any veteran in need, who signs up through THIS FORM, with free cannabis, edibles, tinctures, and home growing equipment? Because if you look at the facts, war isn't an easy thing to go through... people die, but even more people end up coming home physically or mentally injured. And the prescription medications they're being prescribed aren't working, whenever "suicides now outnumber combat fatalities by a ratio of more than 25-to-1." Hell, 31% of Vietnam veterans are STILL suffering from PTSD, and that's an ailment that doesn't visibly reveal itself.
I don't want to see our veterans struggle with depression, PTSD, pain, insomnia, or brain injuries. And I definitely don't want them to come home and struggle with addiction to prescription medications that don't work, or cause them to commit suicide, because their bodies are filled with a cocktail of chemicals that don't belong there. We all know the healing benefits you can get from partaking of cannabis, in one of its many forms, so it's time to change and support organizations like this. CLICK HERE to donate!
