Grandson of A California Mayor Not Given Prison Time For Cannabis Cultivation

In 2009, David Armstrong was charged with the illegal growing of marijuana while he was living with his grandfather Harry Armstrong; who at the time was the mayor of Clovis.

As part of his plea deal given by the District Attorney’s Office, Armstrong is to undergo a rehabilitation program and not intake any cannabis even though he has a medical marijuana card prescribed to him for chronic pains.

Note that in accepting the plea, 2 other charges were dropped including possession of marijuana with intent to sell.
