Having been a courier for a little over a month now, I've started to notice that some products seem to always need restocked, because people just can't get enough of them, and incredibles chocolate bars definitely fall into that category. So after seeing the unique flavor combinations, being the curious Wookwok that I am, I decided to test out each and every chocolate bar they offer, so that you know what's out there. And this is pretty much a full-on company review, because I'll be testing out 10 of the 12 products they have in their inventory (the other two are incredipills and the Mikiba "superfood" bar).
But before I get started, I want to thank A Wellness Centers for actually having all 10 of these bars in stock, in their refrigerated display case. These guys surprise me every time I go in there, with their deals, the amount of products they have in stock, and how friendly they are with everyone. You'll feel like you're on an episode of Cheers when you come here, because everybody knows your name, but let's start munching on some chocolate…DETAILS: This 13 gram chunk of a chocolate "bar" is actually only about 1"x2", but they somehow packed 300mg of hash oil into it. Now, that's a pretty potent edible, especially given its size, but you're able to break it into three separate chunks, if you want to consume it in 100mg doses.
INGREDIENTS: Dark milk chocolate (sugar, milk, cocoa butter, milk fat, lecithin, vanilla), lab-tested cannabis, organic raspberries, organic habanero peppers, and cayenne.
MY THOUGHTS: I'm not really a fan of dark chocolate, but I love spicy things so this combination of flavors really interested me. The habanero combined with the cayenne definitely brings the fire, and the dark chocolate actually wasn't as bitter as I expected. But if I were to do one thing to improve this bar, it would be to make it a little bigger, so that you can actually mask the medicated flavor of the hash oil. Final thoughts… I probably wouldn't buy this one again, but that's only because dark chocolate is probably my least favorite kind of chocolate.DETAILS: This 35 gram chocolate bar is about 2.25"x3.5", and contains 300mg of hash oil. Again, this is a potent edible, but you can break it into three separate chunks, if you want to consume it in 100mg doses.
INGREDIENTS: Milk chocolate (sugar, milk, cocoa butter, milk fat, lecithin, vanilla), lab-tested cannabis, and mint oil.
MY THOUGHTS: Once again, minty things aren't exactly my favorite, but this blend of milk chocolate and mint oil is kind of nice. I think it'd be a great after-dinner mint, and I like that it's a little bigger in size, because you actually can't taste any of the medication. Final thoughts… I could see myself breaking off a chunk of this after a nice meal, but it probably wouldn't be my first choice, in terms of flavor.DETAILS: This 35 gram chocolate bar is about 2.25"x3.5", and contains 200mg of hash oil. Now, this isn't quite as potent as the first two, but 200mg would still be plenty for most people. And, if you want smaller dosages, you can easily break it into 3 pieces, for around 67mg doses.
INGREDIENTS: White chocolate (sugar, milk, cocoa butter, milk fat, lecithin, vanilla), lab-tested cannabis, peanut butter, and pretzels (flour, water, leavening, sea salt).
MY THOUGHTS: Now, this bar is definitely more my style; I love white chocolate, peanut butter, and pretzels! The flavors blend together well, and I love the crunch of the pretzels, but I can see why this bar has a little bit less hash oil in it, because you can taste the medication just a little bit. And I'm sure if they attempted to put 300mg in this bar it'd be even worse, so I think that was a good call on their part. Final thoughts… this is my favorite so far, and I'd definitely buy it again!DETAILS: This 35 gram chocolate bar is about 2.25"x3.5", and contains 175mg of hash oil. This is even less potent, but would still be plenty for one or two people, with an average tolerance. And again, you can break this bar into three pieces, for around 58mg doses.
INGREDIENTS: Milk chocolate (sugar, milk, cocoa butter, milk fat, lecithin, vanilla), lab-tested cannabis, and mint oil.
MY THOUGHTS: Well, you already know I'm not into minty things, but the Mile High Bar tastes almost exactly the same as the Mile Higher Bar, which wasn't too shabby. You can't taste the hash oil, and it's a great way to get medication, sweetness, and a breath mint in one. Final thoughts… If I was looking for an edible to use as an "after dinner mint" I'd opt for the Mile Higher Bar instead, since it's more potent, but again this wouldn't be my first choice of flavor.DETAILS: This 45 gram chocolate bar is about 5.25"x2", and contains 100mg of hash oil. This is the average recreational dosage for edibles, but it is also a perfect bar for a person with average tolerance. Now, you can break this bar into 12 pieces, which means you can break it down into 8mg doses if you want.
INGREDIENTS: White chocolate (sugar, milk, cocoa butter, milk fat, lecithin, vanilla), lab-tested cannabis, and cookies sandwiches (flour, sugar, leavening, vanilla, cornstarch, chocolate, salt).
MY THOUGHTS: This was quite a creamy treat, which had a mild crunch, and although you could taste the medication it actually blended in really well. So, for once the flavor of the hash oil actually compliments the rest of the ingredients. Final thoughts… This is definitely a contender for my favorite right now, and I know I'd buy a couple of these bars in the near future.DETAILS: This 45 gram chocolate bar is about 5.25"x2", and contains 100mg of hash oil. Again, this is the average dosage for most people, and if you break it into 12 pieces you have reasonable 8mg snacks.
INGREDIENTS: White chocolate (sugar, milk, cocoa butter, milk fat, lecithin, vanilla), lab-tested cannabis, flax crispies, and organic strawberry
MY THOUGHTS: I could smell the strawberry before I bit into it, and it had a creamy texture accompanied by a pleasant crunch of flax crispies. The combination sort of reminds me of some kind of breakfast cereal I would have eaten as a kid, and you can't taste any of the medication. Final thoughts… I would put this at a tie with the Cookies and Cream Bar as my favorites right now.
I just tallied up my overall consumption at around 342mg, and I'm feeling good enough to stop for the night, and pick up the rest in the morning.
INGREDIENTS: Milk chocolate (sugar, milk, cocoa butter, milk fat, lecithin, vanilla), lab-tested cannabis, and toffee bits (sugar, palm oil, butter, almonds, vanilla, sea salt, lecithin).
MY THOUGHTS: I love toffee, and this bar is actually pretty tasty, but I was surprised that I could taste the medication in this one. The crunch and flavor of the toffee is nice, the milk chocolate is good, but it wasn't enough to mask the flavor of the medication. Final thoughts… This is a tasty treat, but it's nothing special, considering the other options, so while I'd enjoy eating it again, this wouldn't be my first choice for a flavor.DETAILS: Yet again, this is a 45 gram chocolate bar which is about 5.25"x2", and contains 100mg of hash oil. So, this is the average dosage for most people, and if you break it into 12 pieces you have reasonable 8mg snacks.
INGREDIENTS: White chocolate (sugar, milk, cocoa butter, milk fat, lecithin, vanilla), lab-tested cannabis, flax crispies, and organic blueberries.
MY THOUGHTS: The blueberry flavor is a bit mild, but the creaminess and crunch is nice. I think I was expecting the flavor to be as strong with this one as it was with the strawberry one, but you can only barely taste the medication, so that's a plus. Final thoughts… This probably wouldn't be my first choice, but it's one of the better tasting bars.DETAILS: Yes, this is a 45 gram chocolate bar which is about 5.25"x2", and contains 100mg of hash oil. So again, this is the average dosage for most people, and if you break it into 12 pieces you have reasonable 8mg snacks.
INGREDIENTS: Milk chocolate, flax crispies, toasted walnuts, medical marijuana, organic bananas, and coconut.
MY THOUGHTS: I could smell the coconut as it approached my mouth, and eating this reminded me of eating an Almond Joy or a Mounds, so it's definitely high on my list. In all reality, the ingredients in this bar are what inspired me to do this review in the first place, because I thought it was the perfect combination, and I love that I can't taste the medication. Final thoughts… This is definitely a contender for my favorite right now!DETAILS: This is the final 45 gram chocolate bar which is about 5.25"x2", and contains 100mg of hash oil. So again, this is the average dosage for most people, and if you break it into 12 pieces you have reasonable 8mg snacks.
INGREDIENTS: White chocolate, medical marijuana and organic peaches.
MY THOUGHTS: I was hoping the peach flavor would be a bit stronger, but it's not a bad tasting bar; I'll always love the creaminess of white chocolate. But it appears as though they forgot to add flax crispies to their ingredients list, and it's nice that, even though this has such a mild flavor, you can't even taste the medication. Final thoughts… While it's not a bad choice, it wouldn't be one of my top choices for flavor.
FINAL FINAL FINAL THOUGHTS?
If you know me in real life, you probably already know that I have a hard time picking favorites, especially when it comes to food. So, I had 4 bars in the end that really impressed me, and it was only right that I tested them out again, to be sure of my favorite.
I love the ingredients in the Peanut Budda Buddha Bar, but I don't like that the medication isn't masked much at all, so I'd probably only buy this bar first if I was looking for a higher amount of hash oil in my edible.
The Cookies and Cream Bar is good, but again I can taste the medication, so since it's only 100mg I'd probably rank this one at #4, tied with the Boulder Bar.
So, my favorites are the Strawberry Crunch Bar and the Monkey Bar… If I'm craving something sweet and fruity, the strawberry bar would be my first choice, because the strawberry flavor is just strong enough; you can't taste the medication, and it's such a creamy delight.
But if I were looking for a really nice chocolate bar, I'd have to go with the Monkey Bar, because every single ingredient compliments the other and it'd make taking my medication quite a treat. This is by far the best chocolate bar that incredibles makes, in my opinion that is.
In fact, I'm glad I decided to do this review, because for the longest time I thought I needed anywhere from 300mg to 450mg in order for me to feel the edibles doing their job. Why would I think that? Because sometimes edible makers don't make sure that their products really do have the milligrams in them that their label says, which means some will, some will have less, and some will have more. And in turn you end up having to eat more and more in order to feel something. Incredibles on the other hand, seems to keep an eye on things a little better, because I couldn't get anywhere near 400mg on the first day (when I put a pause on the review), and 196mg on the second day seemed to do me pretty well too. So, it looks like I can save some money, thanks to the potency of incredibles, and lower my threshold to around 200mg to 300mg.
Now, I don't normally eat chocolate that often, but whenever it's so professionally crafted into new flavors, and so many people are buying them off the shelves, I almost have to try it out. And now that I have become awakened to the beauty of medicated chocolate bars, it's time for me to start my day. Until next Wookwok Wakening!
