Kellen Clemens or Chad Pennington, just flip a coin

Who is going to be the Jets starting Quarterback next year. We really don’t know yet.
On one hand you have Chad Pennington who has been the starter for years but has been known to have injury problems the whole time. The one year he did complete was a decent one but he also has a problem with throwing the deep pass. You don’t ever have to worry about any receivers going deep on you.
Now on the other hand you have the upstart Kellen Clemens. He is a the young player who replaced Chad as the starter last year but didn’t really do anything spectacular with the opportunity.
So when you option is two mediocre QB’s what is a coach to do? Flip a coin. No really.
Offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer flipped a coin Monday and asked Chad Pennington to call it in the air. The winner would earn the right to work with the first-team offense on the opening day of organized team activities.
“Chad called heads and I thought I had a good chance because I’m a guy that generally calls tails,” Kellen Clemens said Thursday after the Jets’ third OTA session, but first open to the media. “It was heads all the way.”
It’s gonna be a long year for the other team in New York. Maybe their first round draft pick Vernon Gholston can play QB too.
