Marc Emery, the renowned ‘Prince of Pot’ has been ordered to be extradited to the United States. He has sold marijuana seeds all over the world (including the US) and according to his lawyer, Canada’s Minster of Justice, Rob Nicholson, signed off on his extradition shortly after Emery turned himself in to authorities on Monday.

The department said Emery’s extradition was sought on charges of conspiracy to manufacture marijuana, conspiracy to distribute marijuana and conspiracy to engage in money laundering.

Emery reached a plea deal with U.S. prosecutors last year, agreeing to plead guilty to conspiracy to manufacture marijuana in return for a sentence of five years in prison.

This is definitely a politically motived arrest, however if you look at it on the bright side, this has brought all of the marijuana advocates around the world together. I see “Free Marc” shirts and posters all the time at marijuana rallys and he has our full support.

Here is Marc’s wife, Jodie Emery speaking to the press about the issue.
