Rep. Mary Lou Dickerson of Seattle, WA is a Greenie at heart. Why do I say this? Well she has introduced a bill that would allow the sale of marijuana in Washington liquor stores. Yea, that’s right, you would be able to drop by your local liquor store and pick up some bud, papers, and some munchies at one fell swoop.
She is using the $400 million dollar deficit as her main driving force for getting marijuana legal, sold, taxed, and regulated. The goal of this bill is to regulate and tax cannabis, as well as enable the sales of hemp products, oh yea, and you would be able to grow small amounts in your own home for personal use.
Pot won’t kill you. It might make you a little mellow, but it won’t kill you…

The money generated from the tax revenue would be used toward improving health care services as well as substance abuse prevention and treatment programs. Currently she has 14 other lawmakers who have signed on as sponsors for this bill but has yet to get any Republicans to sign on.
