Medical Marijuana Collective Wins Interior Design Award

I am not from a place where they have any medical marijuana collectives but I always imagined them to be like liquor stores, on the corner of some back alley. When I visited California for the first time last year, I was surprised at how open and nice some of the places were. SPARC (San Francisco Patient and Resource Center) is one of the standout stores in the San Fransisco area and for good reason. Their mission is to change the image of what people think a medical marijuana collective should look and feel like.  They’ve been doing so well they won a 2011 award for Interior Architecture from the San Francisco chapter of the American Institute of Architects for its “sensitive design and inventive detail”.

Nice. Congrats to SPARC on the win. Keep up the good work. Shouts to Smart Planet for the scoop.
