NBA Wrap: Kobe leads the comeback

Spurs 85 – Lakers 89: Kobe Bryant and the Lakers looked like they were a little rusty after a few more days of rest than the Spurs did in the first half. The Spurs, on the other hand came out on fire.

The Spurs were up by as many as 20 points in the first half and there was almost no energy in the Staples Center but once the third quarter hit, the Lakers finally decided to go to work.

Kobe Bryant had 2 points in the first half but 5 assists. He was trying to do the “trust my teammates” thing but it clearly wasn’t working so in the second half he had to take over as he usually does. He finished with 27 points to lead the comeback in the second half and help the Lakers to the 89-85 win.

It also helped that the Spurs collapsed in the fourth scoring only 13 points.
