What does it take to beat a dominant offense for an 18-0 team? A dominant defense and a cocky little Quarterback from the south.

They were on Tom Brady’s ass the whole game. They didn’t give him room to breathe. He really didn’t get anything going until the end of the game when his team was down 10-7. He methodically lead his team down for the go ahead score to Randy Moss with 2:42 left.

So this was Eli Manning’s chance to become legend and he did just that. He lead his team down the field with some amazing plays. The most amazing of which was when he dropped back and the Patriot defenders got hands on him but some how get got away and threw a desperation pass to David Tyrie who managed to make a historical catch. The pass was over his head and he had Rodney Harrison on him trying his hardest to swat the ball out. He held on to it by holding it on his helmet. When I saw that play all I could say was “Are you kidding me?!?”

After that catch, Eli was able to keep his cool and get a fade pass to Plaxico Burress for the go ahead score to put them up 17-14. The only problem was there was 35 seconds to go and the Pats had all 3 timeouts. The defense came up huge on the last drive though, just as they did all game and held off all of the Pats last second attempts to get into field goal range.

Congrats to the Patriots for an amazing season. 18 wins is nothing to sneeze at but it’s 18-1 for them. All the records they set this season were great but at this moment, none of all of that matters and if you just look at both of these teams for the last month, the right team won and evil does not prevail today!!

This is a testament to New York resiliency. No one picked the Giants except for me. I will be going into work tomorrow talking so much shit.
