Norml Ad To Broadcast on New York Jumbo Screen

Almost a month ago, the media giant, CBS, recently denied a deal with the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) to post pro-cannabis promotions on the jumbo-tron in Times Square. After that I assumed Norml wouldn’t be getting to that screen for awhile then. Turns out CBS communication vice president Shannon Jacobs has changed that.

What was “too political” several weeks ago has been deemed tolerable by CBS, who refused to run a 15-second NORML ad on its Time Square Super Screen. Now CBS’s communication vice president Shannon Jacobs says they “will accept the ad if they [NORML) still want to run it.” The ad below shows a tree with dollars signs and reads, “Money CAN Grow on Trees! -  Legalize Marijuana – Billions in Taxes.”

I hope this will further add to the commercials on national television to.

Hit the jump for the 15 second commercial and full story.
