OJ Mayo will be going to the NBA
A USC school spokesman has announced that the USC star freshmen OJ Mayo will be headed to the NBA after one season. That comes as no surprise. He is the first of an outstanding class of freshmen this season which has a lot of players who will potentially be going to the NBA **cough**Beasley, Love, Rose**cough**. Excuse me, I have something in my throat.
“I am so thankful for the fans and alumni at USC and around the nation that have been so supportive of me and my teammates throughout the season,” Mayo said in a statement. “I’d like to express my appreciation to my coaches and teammates for their support in one of the most important decisions I’ve ever made.”
Mayo averaged 20.7 points a game, 4.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists a game. Mayo led the Trojans to a 21-12 overall record, 11-7 in the Pac-10. He is expected to go in the top 10 in the draft.
