The Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys won yesterday, setting up a meeting of 10-1 teams for the top spot in the National Football Conference. Brett Favre passed for 381 yards and three touchdowns as the Packers beat the Detroit Lions 37-26 for their sixth consecutive victory. Tony Romo threw two touchdown passes to help the Cowboys to a 34-3 win over the New York Jets, their fifth straight victory.

In the final game of the National Football League’s Thanksgiving tripleheader yesterday, the Indianapolis Colts defeated the Atlanta Falcons 31-13 as Peyton Manning threw for three touchdowns.

Green Bay and Dallas will meet Nov. 29 in Irving, Texas. The winner will become the favorite to be the top seed in the NFC playoffs.

“It’s going to be a great matchup,” Dallas wide receiver Terrell Owens said in an interview with the NFL Network. “We’re looking forward to it and we’ll be ready.”

Favre completed 31 of 41 passes at Ford Field in Detroit, including a team-record 20 straight at one point. It was his seventh 300-yard passing game of the season, tying a career high.

Greg Jennings caught two touchdown passes, Ruvell Martin had a scoring catch and Ryan Grant ran for a touchdown for Green Bay, which is 10-1 for the first time since 1962. Grant rushed for 101 yards and Donald Driver had 10 catches for 147 yards for the Packers.

“I’m very pleased,” Favre told the NFL Network. “We continue to put pressure on ourselves to play well and continue to win.”

Romo Ties Record

Jon Kitna passed for 224 yards with one touchdown and one interception as Detroit (6-5) lost its third straight game.

At Texas Stadium in Irving, Texas, Romo completed 21 of 28 passes for 195 yards with one interception in leading the Cowboys to the rout of the Jets (2-9). He now has 29 touchdown passes on the season, tying the Dallas team record held by Danny White.

Dallas’s 10-1 start is the best in the franchise’s 47-year history, bettering the 9-1 marks it posted in 1976 and 1983.

Marion Barber rushed for 103 yards with a touchdown for Dallas, which ran for 174 yards. Owens and Jason Witten each caught a scoring pass and Terence Newman returned an interception 50 yards for a touchdown.

At the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, the Colts scored the final 24 points of the game after trailing 13-7 in the second quarter.

Manning completed 22 of 32 passes for 272 yards with one interception. Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark and Ben Utecht each caught a touchdown pass and Joseph Addai ran for a score.

Manning threw all of his scoring passes in the second quarter as the Colts (9-2) took a 21-13 halftime lead. Addai then scored on a 4-yard run in the third quarter and Adam Vinatieri added a 24-yard field goal.

Joey Harrington threw a 48-yard touchdown pass to Roddy White for the Falcons (3-8).
