Police Find 29 Grams In Rio Ferdinand’s Restaurant

One of Rio Ferdinand’s chefs was caught with 29 grams of marijuana at Fedinand’s restaurant called Rosso. Rio was unaware of the 29 bags of marijuana stashed in the 55 year old chef’s locker.

‘At 4.15pm on Friday 6 January 2012, police officers executed a search warrant at Rosso restaurant on Spring Gardens in Manchester city centre.

I assume the police knew he was selling marijuana and finally had enough evidence to get a warrant. The marijuana was stashed in the chef’s locker but the chef had already left when the warrant was put into use.

‘As part of police inquiries, a 55-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of class B drugs with intent to supply and has been cautioned.’

Rosso is a very popular restaurant with celebrities and professional football players in Europe owned by Rio Ferdinand. Rio plays for Manchester United and also plays with the England national team. He joined Manchester United in July 2002 for around £30 million, breaking the transfer fee record.
