Snoop Dogg + You + 4.20 = The DOPEst Day Ever!

This is the time of year where we look to each other for answers to some serious questions. What will next year bring? Is Santa Clause real? And, what’s Snoop Dogg up to? Here is a clip of Mr. Dogg on Jimmy Kimmel Live telling us what he has in store next year for his “Omaze Experience.”

Besides toking up the finest buds the Rocky Mountains can offer, Snoop is devoting his time and money to a worthy cause. A charity organization named ‘RED’ is teaming up with Snoop, as well as many other A-list celebrities, to raise money for the fight against AIDS.

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation double impact by matching every dollar raised up to $20 MILLION

On December 1, 2015, World AIDS Day and Giving Tuesday, the first ever (SHOPATHON)RED to fight AIDS officially kicked off. A (RED) shopping extravaganza featuring the likes of Bono, Scarlett Johansson, Snoop Dogg, The Weeknd, Meryl Streep and co-produced by VICE Media, (SHOPATHON)RED was live on-air and will continue online through the holidays, selling iconic (RED) products, limited edition pieces, and the chance for fans to win once-in-a-lifetime experiences with celebrities in partnership with the online giving platform, Omaze. Raising money for the Global Fund to fight AIDS, every dollar will be matched by The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation — up to $20 million — meaning there have never been more reasons to “SHOP (RED) and SAVE LIVES.”

“The progress we have made in the fight against AIDS is immense, but so is the jeopardy if we grow complacent and think we’ve conquered this vicious little virus… Because we haven’t! We have to keep pushing until everyone who needs treatment can get it and until we can prevent the millions of unnecessary new infections we are still seeing every year,” said Bono, co-founder of (RED) and ONE. “Justice often calls for the power of strange bedfellows, which is why (SHOPATHON)RED is where you’ll see everyone from Bill Gates to Snoop Dogg, VICE and Game of Thrones campaigning to get closer to finishing AIDS once and for all.”

Jimmy Kimmel hosted a star-studded shopping special on December 1, World AIDS Day.

On December 1, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! kicked off (SHOPATHON)RED with a tongue-in-cheek take on the world of home shopping. Joined by Olivia Wilde, the show featured (RED) products and guest stars, who launched once-in-a-lifetime experiences to help the fight to end AIDS. Appearances included Bono, Matt Damon, a live performance by The Killers, and special segments with Tom Brady and Shaquille O’Neal, among other surprises. Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs weeknights at 11:35|10:35 CT on ABC.

Sell-ebrity sells on; $10 can get you the experience of a lifetime.

Want to visit the Game of Thrones set, or hit the saddle for a bike ride with Bono? These are just some of the once-in-a-lifetime experiences that you can win on Omaze, the online giving platform. Other experiences include:

(RED)’s founding apparel partner, Gap, is announcing a $1 million commitment to the fight to end AIDS and is debuting a range of new (RED) styles that will support this promise. Gap denim jackets and t-shirts for men, women and children and onesies for babies will all be available on, and will also be available in the U.S. on and at the 680 5th Avenue (at 54th Street) New York City.

“Brunch with the Brains” on

(RED) and eBay are collaborating to auction off one-of-a-kind (RED) pieces and one-on-one brunch experiences with iconic global business figures.

Among those offering an hour or more long brunch include: Muhtar Kent, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Coca-Cola Company; Ari Emanuel, Co-CEO of WME and IMG; Neil Blumenthal and Dave Gilboa, Co-Founders and Co-CEOs of Warby Parker; Biz Stone, Ev Williams and Jack Dorsey, Co-Founders of Twitter; Jonathan Adler, CEO of Jonathan Adler Enterprises; Devin Wenig, CEO of eBay; and a trip to Italy to meet Alessandro Mendini, Alessi Design Contributor. All proceeds from the auctions will benefit the Global Fund to Fight AIDS.

“We’re always looking for ways to partner with the smartest creative minds to help solve one of the world’s greatest problems… but a problem that we can now imagine ending,” said Deborah Dugan, CEO, (RED). We’re so grateful to all of the musicians, actors, artists, athletes, brands and creators for their (RED) partnership in helping us deliver an AIDS free generation by 2020.  Think of the launch of (SHOPATHON)RED as a countdown to reaching that goal.”

“(RED)’s support of the Global Fund has been absolutely fundamental to our collective success,” added Mark Dybul, Executive Director of the Global Fund. “Delivering private sector investment where it’s needed most — to programs on the ground aimed at controlling a preventable and treatable disease. (RED)’s World AIDS Day campaign comes at a critical moment when funding and focus are needed most to see the world towards the finish line.”

There are even more ways for people to support (RED) and fight AIDS, including:

  • For the eighth year, (RED) partner Starbucks will contribute 10 cents for every handcrafted beverage sold at participating U.S. and Canada locations to the Global Fund to fight AIDS.
  • From November 30 to December 4, Supercell turned all three of their incredibly popular games (RED) – Clash of Clans, Boom Beach and Hay Day. Special (RED) items were available only on iOS, with 100% of proceeds donated to the fight against AIDS.
  • Through December 20, fans of concerts, sports, theater and family events can support (RED) by adding a $5 to $25 contribution to their Ticketmaster and Live Nation ticket purchases.
  • On World AIDS Day, Uber joined (RED) as a partner to drive towards an AIDS Free Generation. On Dec. 1, the Uber app went “(RED).” Riders in the U.S. were able to choose to ride (RED), which allowed them to make a $5 donation to fight AIDS .
