The city of Long Beach has put into motion on the November ballot, to vote on taxing recreational marijuana. This will only go into affect if Prop 19 passes. Although some medical users may not like this in the long run. Either way it will help LBC make more money and become a better city [not that they are a bad city]. Who doesn’t want to help out their city by buying marijuana. Here’s a run down of how it may work.
Recreational marijuana businesses would be taxed 15 percent of their gross revenues, while cultivation sites would pay $25 per square foot, and a minimum $1,000 business license tax would be applied to the businesses.
