The Detroit Red Wings are up to beat the NHL record for most consecutive home wins. I am a very big fan of the Detroit Red Wings. I watch just about every single game. I can’t say that for any other sport. They are this eras greatest NHL team. Twenty years in a row to the playoffs and now twenty consecutive home wins and going for the record tonight against the Dallas Stars.

This got my buddy and I thinking about what do other people outside of Michigan think of the Detroit Red Wings. There are always tons of Red Wing fans in the crowd at away games. I have heard the crowd chanting “Lets Go Red Wings” during away games. We are nicknamed “Hockeytown”. Not even a Canadian team has a nickname like that. So do people hate the Detroit Red Wings? Or are we the greatest team ever? I know a lot of people don’t pay attention to the NHL anymore. But it would be nice to know what the Greenies think.
