Strain Review: AK-47 [Sativa]

Grab a piece, wind up and let her rip! AK-47 hits with a bang and doesn’t even set you back big bucks. A new, recreational favorite grown by Root Down, this strain is hard-hitting and heavy at first, then becomes easy and energizing. Sativa-dominant, it provides a blast of energy, which is perfect for propelling you outdoors to experience the world, or headfirst into steadfast conversation with friends.

THC Content: 20.2%

Sight: Bright green, fluffy nugs.

Smell: Sour and woody.

Taste: Herby, spicy and aromatic — with a woody, sandalwood taste upon inhalation.

High: Hard and fast, but quickly smooths over into a head high that’s light and pleasant.

Rating: 3.7 out of 5

With a hard first couple of hits, AK-47 soon turns into a light and pleasant high with strong euphoric effects. I enjoyed it on a hike through the woods and was fascinated with plants, animals, flowers and insects buzzing through the air.

The strain’s flowers smell like sandalwood and spices when roasted lightly with hemp wick. One bowl later, AK-47 left us feeling happy and satisfied. A definite bang for your buck, it’s strong enough to smoke a small amount of before feeling high out of your mind.

A crowd-pleasing weed, this strain has won Cannabis Cup competitions multiple times. A social and energetic strain that leaves you feeling mellow and pleased, it inserts itself into your mind. Uplifting and motivating, the high lasted for hours. AK-47: light bud, not bullets.
