The DEA Can’t Justify The War On Marijuana

Democratic Congressman Steve Cohen positively grilled DEA Administrator Michele Leonhart this past Tuesday in Washington DC on her excessive aggression against marijuana and lack of evidence proving the drug is at all harmful.

Congressman Cohen begins by asking how much the DEA receives in funding each year, over 2 billion dollars, and leads Leonhart down a road of dodged questions and half-empty answers leading up to the congressman asking “Does Meth & Heroin cause more deaths than Marijuana? . . . Does Aspirin cause deaths?” Then when asked her opinion on whether or not an Ex-Navy Seal using Marijuana to treat cancer and improve life quality would show some sign of marijuana’s medicinal benefits Leonhart responded, “That’s between him and his doctor.” Well Miss Leonhart, then please explain the crusade against state sanctioned medical marijuana facilities throughout the nation. What this video shows is just how large of a failure the drug war in America really is, and it also shows that members of Congress are now beginning to listen to the voice of the people and are themselves questioning the wasted tax dollars fighting something humans have benefited since the dawn of man!
