Marijuana advocates are now setting their sites on the great state of Colorado as the new location for the creation of a medical marijuana tolerant society. They hope to accomplish in Colorado what couldn’t be done in California which was once the leader in the push for marijuana decriminalization and medical use accessibility. The 2012 Colorado ballot may hold many opportunities to push marijuana friendly legislation in hopes of creating an agenda that will make the state a leader in the battle of for legalized/medical use marijuana.
Groups in favor of full legalization of pot are looking to start gathering signatures for a ballot measure starting this summer, as The Denver Post reports. Colorado is a smart choice for marijuana legalization advocates because of a large citizenry with progressive views on the use of the drug as well as the low amount of signatures needed to produce a ballot initiative – approximately 86,000 signatures are all that are needed.
I love nothing more than a good fight and I can’t wait to see what is going to go down in Colorado in 2012. I can only imagine the type of revenue the state would make if smokers worldwide were allowed to exist in peace. Check out the article here and see if you can’t get involved in the good stuff going on in Colorado.
