This Is Why You Shouldn’t Bring Drugs To Court
In case you were wondering what you could possibly do to make you’re upcoming court date more stressful, just ask the New York State man who got caught with marijuana in court. They probably wouldn’t have found it if he hadn’t dropped the weed right on a nearby officers shoe. Doh!
Nassau County District Attorney spokesman Eric Phillips said Desmond Kelly, 28, was being arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead, N.Y., on a motor vehicle violation when the judge asked Kelley if he had the original traffic ticket, the New York Post reported Thursday.
Phillips said Kelly “reached into his pocket and took out the ticket. At that time, a small bag of marijuana fell out and landed on top of the shoe of a court officer.”
The spokesman said the officer shouted “‘You’re under arrest!’ and the audience in court gasped.”
Damn shame. I know he was probably stressed about having to pay additional money for a traffic ticket, considering that its a recession and all. He probably picked up the weed beforehand and planned on smoking right after court but now he will spend his afternoon in jail saying “This is some bullshit.”
Moral of the story?
Pick up the weed after court.
