Apparently those who listen to music with marijuana references are more likely to smoke. I don’t really agree with that to much. I have listened to Hip-hop since I was 9 and there are plenty of marijuana references in those lyrics. It had no effect on me, I just didn’t want to smoke. I listened to hip-hop for over 5 years before smoking weed. Your not going to smoke because someone else is or talks about it. I smoked because I wanted something other than drinking and found the best thing out there, Ms. Mary-Jane.
Though the study tried to factor out influences such as age, race and gender, it could not be said for sure that the music caused drug use.
