Last month in England, police launched a raid on a suspected indoor marijuana farm in Huntingdon. So far two men, aged 33 and 42 have been arrested for growing around 1,000 plants worth around 300,000 pounds or about $475,000. Police were supported during the raid by an Essex police helicopter to help surround the building. It is also believed that two floors in the building were being used in the growing operation with about 500 plants on each floor. The two men are being held on suspicion of production of cannabis at the Huntingdon police station.
Armed police launched a dramatic drugs raid yesterday on a suspected cannabis factory in Huntingdon. Two men have been arrested after officers discovered the factory at an industrial unit in Ceris Court on Glebe Road. It is believed 1,000 plants have been found with an estimated value of £300,000. Officers were supported by Essex police helicopter.
At this point there is no word on bail or sentencing; however I’m sure both will be quite severe considering there were 1,000 plants, which is a lot no matter where you live. The unfortunate part of stories like this are that it reflects poorly on the cannabis community as a whole by making everyone look like criminals who do horrible things by growing a harmless plant.
