Usain Bolt Smoked Weed When He Was Younger, Big Surprise!
Olympic Gold Medal Runner Usain Bolt, admitted in an interview that he tried marijuana as a kid. He is the second Olympic Gold Medalist to come out about his weed smoking past. We all saw what happened to Michael Phelps. Everyone seemed to be shocked when it came out that the all American boy Phelps was a pothead but for Bolt, it should come as a surprise to no one.
Usain Bolt is from Jamaica which is a country known for producing some of the best weed in the world. They all puff massive blunt and kids start smoking very very early.
GMA News – Bolt, who set world records in the 100 and 200 meters at the Beijing Olympics and was part of the Jamaican team that broke the world mark in the 400-meter relay, made the admission in an interview published online Sunday.
“In Jamaica, you learn as a child how to roll a joint. Everyone here has tried it. I did too — but I was real young then,” Bolt was quoted as saying. “My family and my friends don’t smoke and I don’t hang out any longer with people who smoke.”
Bolt claims that he doesn’t smoke anymore but I don’t believe that for a second. I wouldn’t be surprised if he smoked before every race. Jamaicans have weed in their veins. That’s why they and I get along so well.

I take great offense to your thwarted opinion of Jamaicans. I was born and raised in Jamaica until age 38 and NEVER once attempted to smoke weed. None of my brothers nor other youngsters in my community did either. Weed is something that is frowned upon by Jamaicans with good morals. Unfortunately it is openly abused in some(not all) low income communities and also experimented with by curious youngsters from across the socio-economic groups. Smoking weed is not something the average Jamaican is proud of and if you check with Usain Bolt at this moment, I am very sure he feels embarrassed to even let his fellow Jamaicans know of this irresponsible history.If you should ask him, I am positive he will tell you that he is not proud of what he did back then.Getting access to weed in Jamaica is as easy as purchasing candy or can be had for free, but I repeat…..the average Jamaican is NOT interested in that stuff. I have many friends who are chain smokers(cigarettes) who have no interest in weed.
It is so unfortunate that this issue has brought to light the sterio-type of “If you are Jamaican, you are Rasta or Smoke Weed”
There is much more to Jamaica than sun, sand, sea and WEED !
