Weed + Porn + Disney = Sensi Pearl’s Recipe for A Sex Positive World

Recently I was luckily enough to have a Q & A with up and coming Adult Entertainer Sensi Pearl who hails from the great state of California. She's not your regular bright eyed starlet either, as a former child performer touring in the famous Disney's High School Musical franchise, Sensi is no new comer to the entertainment field. Now using her beautiful lithe body and unique life experience to promote a more 'sex positive' world through ganja use and universal love, I was definitely ready to get  our readers more information about her.

TRJ: You originally got your start as a performer in Disney movies as an extra. Do you think working with Disney causes the actors to have that “Good” and “Wholesome” stigma follow them through their careers and how has this affected you in your adult work if it's affected you at all?

SP: Disney has helped me in more ways than I ever could have imagined when I was a sweet young actress with my first line in a real movie. When I first got into adult work I do think a lot of folks thought of me as a “good” girl but I think that my work with Kink.com has proven that you can’t judge a book by it’s cover. I am a good at a lot of things but being good is not one of them.

TRJ: You are also a trained ballet dancer; tell us about that part of your life and how that has helped who you are today.

SP: Ballet has been the one steady factor in my life for as long as I could remember. Through it I have learned discipline, patience, and hard work. Ballet, and dance in general, has shown me how to express the passion in my soul. It seems whenever I come to a roadblock in my life I have only to dance around it and I find myself on the other side ready for whatever comes next. Ballet has not only trained my body to do amazing things but it has also trained my mind to be quick moving and adjustable to whatever situation I find myself in. Ballet is the only thing that got me through Basic Combat Training (which is another story altogether) and ultimately, ballet is what awakened me to the healing power of Cannabis. Ballet is really where my whole story starts.

TRJ: What do you hope to accomplish by being a ‘sex-positive’ role model? Who are your followers; and what do you hope they take away from meeting you or watching your movies.

SP: Sexuality is like color, there are an infinite numbers of shades of each color and life would be kind of bland without it. Everything in the human existence hinges upon the subject of recreation but somehow, sex has gotten a bad wrap. We all want it, we all need it, yet we don’t all get it. So about a year ago I found myself asking, Why? I still haven’t come up with a one-size-fits-all answer but I have begun a journey to discovered my own sexuality and a deep hidden part of my self and humanity in general. My movies are a very real documentation of my journey into sexuality and I hope to serve as a guide for those who wish to see where I have been. Take whatever you want to take from them. Ultimately I hope to inspire others to dive into their sexuality and find out what makes them feel whole.

TRJ: At what age did you start smoking weed? Was it a sneak and hide teenager thing or were you raised in an environment that was open to marijuana as a pass time?

SP: Cannabis literally saved my life. I was 18 and had been suffering from anorexia for a long time because I was studying ballet so intensively and always wanted to be thinner than the other girls in my classes. Then I suddenly became too ill to go to classes and my friends started to get worried about me. So they planned an intervention. They came to my house and stuffed pot cookies down my throat. I was upset for about 30 minutes and I wouldn’t talk to any of them. But then the cookies kicked in and we all went shopping for munchies! By the end of the night I had eaten more calories than I had in a month and I slept better than I had in years. I have been using it every day since then and it has continued to improve my life. It has increased my creativity as a dancer and lover, improved my relationship with my Master and my mother, helped me maintain a healthy weight, and opened my mind to all the miraculous things that hemp can do to heal our world.

TRJ: What are some ways in which marijuana has enhanced your personal or professional life as a sex positive performer.

SP: Through using ganja I have learned to be a better listener and communicator. Pow-wow sessions with my lover have gotten us through so much simply because we were both able to sit and listen to each other's concerns. Once we learned to communicate our sex lives got significantly better! We have both become more creative and passionate in and out of bed.

TRJ: Where do you see yourself and your career in 5 years from now? In 10 years from now.

SP: In the future I hope to create a self-sufficient community with open sexual views and a deep love for Mother Earth and her greatest miracle, Ganja. I don’t really plan on having a career as much as having a life. I want to be in a place where I can walk nude through a garden of ganja and roses and find my friends relaxing in a beautiful Yurt on over sized pillows, laughing and medicating. I want to grow all my own food, build my own house, sew my own clothes (if I choose to wear them), and teach my own kids when I have them. I don’t have a map that can take me there but I know that’s where I am headed.

TRJ: Who some people in the industry who you admire?

SP: Which industry? I admire so many people in a whole plethora of industries and lifestyles. We’ll start with the Cannabis industry. I admire the musicians that are brave enough to sing what they truely feel about cannabis like Snoop Dogg, Tenacious D, Sublime,Slightly Stoopid, Wax, Collie Buddz, Jah Roots, Human Revolution, and Echo Movement. I could go on for pages with musicians who have changed my life. I also hold a special place in my heart for those who have dedicated their lives to the Marijuana movement like Marc Emery and his loving wife Jodie Emery, Jack Herer, Rick Simpson, Gary Johnson, Ron Paul and Dr. Raphael Mechoulam.

Jack Herer’s "The Emperor Wears No Clothes" is what inspired me to become active in the movement for legalization. It only makes sense to take advantage of all the uses that one plant can offer. Rick Simspon's "Run From the Cure" helped to get my Christian family on my side when it comes to medicine. Which doesn’t sound like much but it was a life changing event to have my family come see my garden and actually want to understand medical marijuana. Gary Johnson and Ron Paul are taking the steps to ensure that my kids and their kids can have access to Cannabis and for that I love and respect them.

Dr. Raphael Mechoulam’s research on the endocannibinoid system has proven that Ganja is not only enjoyable to use but also essential for our minds to evolve to their full potential.  Marc Emery is probably one of the people I look up to most. He has the knowledge and means to end world hunger, oil wars, and many other social situations that plague our world by breeding and planting the very best seeds. But, those who wish to keep the status quo also know that Marc has that power and so they have taken action to prevent change. But change is unstoppable and even though Marc Emery is unjustly being detained as a political prisoner his story has inspired so many and his sacrifice will be worth it in the end when the Mother Herb is freed.

In the adult industry I admire Annie Sprinkle. She is truely a goddess and I hope to have a life as influential and eventful as hers. She has helped the world to see sexuality in so many different lights and now she is working on Dirty Sexecology- 25 Ways to Make Love to the Earth.

TRJ: Who would you like to work with in the adult industry?

SP: I want to work with Evan Stone, Skin Diamond, Zoe Voss, and Ash Hollywood
