This just in: Willie Nelson likes to smoke weed. I know, right? It blew me away too, but apparently Willie loves the ganja.

Seriously though, can’t the cops leave old Willie alone? His band was recently busted for possessing moonshine and weed.

“Longtime Nelson bass player Dan Edward “Bee” Spears, 60, Franklin, Tenn., and five others were charged with possession of non-tax-paid alcohol, Seneca said. Two of the six were also charged with marijuana possession.

The charges came after officers smelled marijuana aboard a tour bus and were given permission to search it, Seneca said.”

Willie’s tour bus smelled like weed? Well I hope that cop got a promotion to detective, because he busted that case wide open. I’m sure his expertise can be used to solve murders now, and he won’t have to associate with low-life potheads like Willie Nelson and his band.

I’ll smoke with you Willie. And if I get busted, I’ll have one hell of a story to tell.
