Remember when we reported about Willie Nelson’s bud bust back in November? When punishment time came around Judge Becky Dean-Walker sent Willie a court-appearance ticket instead of offering a plea by mail, something said to be very commonly done in these kind of proceedings. Kit Bramblett, the Court Attorney, cited the reason for Nelson to appear in court as requested was to be offered the chance to plead guilty, pay a fine, and sing his hit “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain”. When asked why, Bramblett said:
She wants to meet Willie.
I guess it pays to be a star when it comes time for marijuana conviction.
