Two writers explain what CBD, THC and the gear around them actually are, use the products they review, cite a source for every factual claim and never sell anything. What we will and will not do

Eighteen years in, these are the lines that do not move.

  • We never sell product No shop, no cart, no menu. When you are ready to buy, we hand you to BudFinders.
  • Every claim cited If a page says what a study found or a law allows, the link to the source is in that sentence.
  • No health claims We say what research has examined and what people report. Never that a product will fix something.
  • No paid verdicts A brand cannot buy a review, a ranking or a place on the deals page. A commission never changes a word.
  • 21+ only Written for adults, and for readers who know what is legal where they live.
  • Est. 2008 Online since before most of the brands we now review existed.

How we work

The fine print, in plain English

How we write

  • The answer comes first. Every page opens with a short, direct answer to the question it is named after, then the detail.
  • Every factual claim has a source. Where a page says what a study found or what a law allows, it links to the study or the official source, not to someone else’s summary of it.
  • No health claims. We describe what research has examined and what people report. We never say a product will fix a condition. This is educational content, not medical advice: talk to a healthcare provider before using cannabis for any health condition.
  • Law pages carry a date. Cannabis law changes often, so every law page shows when it was last checked against the official source.
  • Old pages get rewritten, not reposted. The site has been online since 2008. Pages carried over from the old site are rewritten to this standard before they go live again.

How the site pays for itself

Hail Mary Jane is paid through affiliate links: if you follow one and buy, the shop may pay us a commission. No affiliate programme is active today. When one is, paid links are marked before you reach them, and a commission never changes what a review says. The affiliate disclosure explains exactly how that works.

Adults only

This site is for adults aged 21 and over. Cannabis law differs from state to state and country to country, and it is on each reader to know what is legal where they live.
