Daily High Club review: cancel by the 15th

Daily High Club, formerly Dollar High Club, no longer sells the three tiers our old review described. It sells one box on four commitment lengths, and it publishes something most of this category does not: a cancellation cut-off you can read before you subscribe.

Daily High Club

Pros

  • States a cancellation cut-off, the 15th, before you subscribe
  • Custom glass rather than generic, so a year of it accumulates into something
  • A monthly term exists, so you can see one parcel before committing to twelve
  • Plain packaging with nothing on it that names the contents
  • Still trading, which in this category is not a given

Cons

  • The three-tier ladder our old review described no longer exists
  • Longer terms are discounted for a commitment, not for a better box
  • Contents are not published ahead of the parcel
  • A box already shipped cannot be cancelled or refunded
  • Subscriptions ship within the United States only

What Daily High Club sends

A curated box of smoking gear built around a piece of custom glass, with rolling papers, lighters, accessories and collectible odds and ends packed around it. The composition is close to its competitor. What differs is how it is sold and how you get out of it.

It used to be Dollar High Club

The rebrand is old news and the slug this page used to sit on still carried it. The name change matters only as a marker of how much else changed with it: the dollar box that gave the company its original name is not the product any more.

Three tiers became four terms

Our previous review described an All Natural box, a Connoisseur box and an El Primo box, sold at three prices for three different appetites. That ladder is gone. What is sold now is a single box, offered on a monthly, three-month, six-month or yearly commitment.

Why that is the bigger change

A tier ladder asks how much you smoke. A commitment ladder asks how long you will stay. They are different questions and the second one is the one that costs money if you answer it wrong, because a yearly term is a year of boxes whether or not the third one disappoints. The discount for committing is real; so is the commitment.

Committing, and what it buys

The longer terms are priced down and sold on variety — more months means more different glass. That is a genuine argument if you know you want the glass. It is a poor argument for a first box, and the monthly term exists precisely so you can find out what a month of this is like before buying eleven more.

What is in the box now

Custom glass, smoking accessories, rolling papers, lighters and what the company calls exclusive collectibles. As with the rest of the category the exact list is not published ahead of the parcel, so the month-to-month contents are not something any review can honestly promise you.

The glass, and the collection

The glass is custom rather than generic, which is the difference between a subscription that accumulates into something and one that accumulates into a cupboard. A year of it is a shelf. Whether that is an asset or a storage problem is a question about you rather than about the service.

The consumables underneath

Papers, tips and lighters are the part that gets used rather than displayed, and the part worth doing arithmetic on. Count what you go through in a month. If the box sends less, it is a top-up and the glass is carrying the whole value. If it sends more, the excess is going in a drawer.

Cancel before the 15th

This is the concrete thing, and it is why this page is worth reading before the competitor. The company states that a subscription can be modified or cancelled from the account dashboard at any time before the 15th of the month. That is a date you can write down, which in this category is unusual enough to count as a feature.

What happens after the 15th

Changes made after the cut-off apply to the following billing cycle rather than the current one. In plain terms: miss the date and you are getting one more box. Not a penalty, not a trap, but the difference between cancelling on the 14th and the 16th is a whole parcel.

Once a box has shipped

Boxes already shipped cannot be cancelled or refunded, which the company states directly. That is normal for the category and it is the reason the cut-off exists at all. Treated together, the two rules mean the only meaningful cancellation window is the first half of the month.

What the law requires here

15 U.S.C. § 8403 makes it unlawful to charge through a negative option online unless the seller clearly and conspicuously discloses all material terms before obtaining billing information, obtains express informed consent, and provides simple mechanisms to stop the recurring charge. Stating the cut-off on the storefront is what complying with the first of those three looks like.

The rule that was vacated

If you have read that cancelling must be as easy as signing up, that was the Federal Trade Commission revised Negative Option Rule, and the Eighth Circuit vacated it in its entirety on 8 July 2025 on procedural grounds. The Commission conformed the Code of Federal Regulations to the decision in a Federal Register notice of 12 February 2026. The statute above survived; the rule did not.

Subscriptions stay in the US

Daily High Club will ship products to all fifty states and to selected international destinations, with customs and duties on the buyer. The subscription boxes are another matter: they ship within the United States only. It is a distinction worth noticing, because it is not about logistics.

Why the mail draws that line

21 U.S.C. § 863 makes it unlawful to use the mails or any facility of interstate commerce to transport drug paraphernalia, and then exempts at subsection (f)(2) any item traditionally intended for use with tobacco products, including any pipe, paper or accessory. A subscription assembled around that exemption stays inside the jurisdiction that grants it, which is why an individual shirt travels and the box does not.

Packaging and the DHC stamp

Plain brown boxes and envelopes with a small unobtrusive mark and nothing that names the contents. Unchanged from the old review and unremarkable in the category, which is exactly the point: every service here has worked out that the outside of the parcel should say nothing.

The old coupon is gone

Our previous version of this page carried a discount code and a cloaked link. Neither works, the arrangement behind them no longer exists, and this site has no affiliate relationship with Daily High Club. The code is removed rather than refreshed, and nothing on this page pays us.

Who it suits

  • Anyone who wants a published cancellation date before they hand over a card.
  • Anyone who wants glass monthly and will actually use the papers underneath.
  • Anyone happy to start on the monthly term and decide later.

Who should look elsewhere

  • Anyone who wanted the old dollar box, which no longer exists in that form.
  • Anyone tempted by a yearly term before seeing a single parcel.
  • Anyone outside the United States, for whom the subscription is not available.

For what to settle before any service in this category takes a payment, and for how the alternative compares, start with weed subscription boxes and our Hemper review.

Verdict

The easier of the two surviving services to recommend, for one unglamorous reason: it tells you how to stop before it starts. Modify or cancel before the 15th and nothing ships; miss it and you are getting one more box, because changes after the cut-off apply to the next cycle and a shipped box is neither cancellable nor refundable. That is a date you can write on a calendar, and most of this category will not give you one. The product itself is custom glass with consumables around it, sold on four commitment lengths rather than the three tiers we used to describe. Start on the monthly term. The yearly discount is real, and so is the year.

Questions people ask

How do you cancel a Daily High Club subscription?

From the account dashboard, before the 15th of the month. The company states that a subscription can be modified or cancelled at any time before that date, and that changes made afterwards apply to the following billing cycle instead. A box that has already shipped cannot be cancelled or refunded, so the meaningful window is the first half of the month.

Does Daily High Club still have the dollar box?

No. The company began as Dollar High Club and our previous review described a three-tier ladder — All Natural, Connoisseur and El Primo — sold at three prices. That structure no longer exists. What is sold now is a single curated box offered on monthly, three-month, six-month and yearly commitments, so the choice is how long rather than how much.

What comes in a Daily High Club box?

A custom glass piece, smoking accessories, rolling papers, lighters and collectible extras. The exact contents are not published before the parcel ships, which is standard across the category, so the glass is the part to judge the subscription on and the consumables are the part to do arithmetic on against what you actually get through.

Does Daily High Club ship internationally?

Individual products go to all fifty states and to selected international destinations, with customs and duties payable by the buyer. The subscription boxes ship within the United States only. The reason is legal rather than logistical: these parcels travel under the exemption at 21 U.S.C. § 863(f)(2) for items traditionally intended for use with tobacco products, and that exemption is a domestic one.
