Unboxing The Davinci IQ2
Unboxing a brand new vaporizer is a joy, we all know that, so the presentation of it it’s very important. The IQ2 comes in a small black and orange box that’s opened as a triptych with some pictures of the device and info about the improvements you’ll experience with it. The first thing you’ll see when you open it it’s the vaporizer, a high-quality device very similar in design to its older brothers, and then all the features that come with it. The box includes:

Size and Design of The Davinci IQ2
The Davinci IQ2 has the same size as the IQ, so it’s a small device that fits comfortably in the palm of your hand. In fact, the design is very similar (not say identic) to the iconic IQ: it also comes with the emblematic front LED lights grid display and has the same shape and metallic finish as the original.
The IQ2 is made with brushed aluminum and medical-grade components. You won’t find any part made of plastic or metal, ensuring that the device will last forever (but, you don’t have to worry about anything because of its 10-years warranty).
It comes in 4 different colors: onyx, gunmetal, amethyst, and cobalt.
Heating, Vapor Quality, and temperature settings of the Davinci IQ2
The Davinci IQ2 is a conduction vaporizer, but unlike others in its class. The IQ2 promises a smooth draw with impressive vapors from the very first puff because of its innovative Air Dial: an adjustable airflow system that provides easier and cooler draws.
The device maintains some of the features of previous Davinci vaporizers like the precision temperature control or the ceramic vapor path with zirconia components, some features that ensure you to experience a great vapor quality.
It also heats quickly ( in less than a minute) and it has a great (full) temperature control that allows you to vape in a precision temperature mode. But, you can also use the “Smart Path”: four preset temperature ranges made specifically to get the best of your cannabis.

How To Use The Davinci IQ2
This vaporizer is very easy to use, and although it has a great app, you don’t have to download it to use it. You only have to follow these steps:
- Open the bottom lid to load the oven.
- Load the oven and close the lid to pack your herb.
- To turn on (and off) the Davinci IQ2, click the control button 5 times.
- Adjust the temperature using the navigation buttons. You can choose an exact temperature (clicking one time the control button and then the up and down buttons to adjust the temperature) or one of the Smart Paths (by only using the navigation buttons).
- The vaporizer will vibrate when the target temperature is reached.
- To adjust the airflow, you only have to turn the Air Dial (on the bottom lid).
- When your session is finished, turn off the Davinci by clicking the control button 5 times.
Davinci IQ2 Smartphone App
The Davinci IQ2 has a GREAT app that is connected via Bluetooth. To turn on or off the Bluetooth of the device, you only have to press the up and down buttons together five times within a four-second time frame.
The Davinci IQ2 App is VERY intuitive, so you’ll find it very easy to use. You only have to create a profile, connect the device with the app, personalize your session and start to control your dose with the app.
This app can be considered as one of the highlights of the device because of its dosage calculation system, but: what’s that? Well, the app will help you to control your session by collecting data every time you use the device. You only have to input the strain potency you are about to vape and the amount of cannabis (extract or dry herb) you’ve put in the oven. Then, the app, based on user behavior (temperature, your draws, and pauses between draws and lengths of your sessions) will track and report dose per draw and per session so, the next time you use the IQ2, the device will alert you when you consume your target dosage.
P.S: As a tip, we recommend you to turn off the Bluetooth function to save battery life.
Battery Life Of The Davinci IQ2
As EVERY Davinci vaporizer, the IQ2 uses a removable and rechargeable 18650 battery. If you have had a Davinci device, you already know that it’s very convenient because it can be used while charging, and if you have two batteries it can be better because you cut the charging time by half. But, how? Well, if you only have one battery the charging time while using the device or charging it with the USB cable can go for over 6 hours, however, if you have two batteries you can remove the battery from the device and charge it with the Davinci Fast Digital Battery, having a full battery in less than 3 hours. Although, overall, the IQ2 has a great battery life with an entire hour of duration.
Determining battery life on the IQ2 is very intuitive: If you press the up and down button together to check the battery level. Your IQ2 will vibrate when 10% remains.
Cleaning the Davinci IQ2
Built with medical-grade components, the Davinci IQ2 is very easy to clean. The only thing you have to do is disassemble all the removable parts in contact with the vapor and soak the mouthpiece and the flavor chamber in isopropyl alcohol and finish them with a rinse of water, and the other parts (oven, vapor path, etc.), also with isopropyl alcohol but leave them in it until they’re completely clean.
We recommend you to clean them regularly to keep the device as new as the first day. You can also use the alcohol wipes you’ll find on the vaporizer’s box to clean the rest of the device.
