How Does the G Pen Elite II Operate?
Power the Elite II on by pressing down the device’s power button, which is an “o” symbol. Hold down on it for four seconds to turn it on and hold down on it for two seconds to power off.
To access the settings on the device, power it on and then click the power button five times quickly. You can then use the (+) or (-) buttons to highlight settings. For example, one of the settings you can change is the temperature to read in Fahrenheit and Celsius. After highlighting what you need in the menu, click the power button again to enter.
You can also access and adjust things like the session timer, convection boost, haptic feedback and the brightness of the screen through the settings menu on the device.
To start heating your ground material, press the power button twice. The temperature should reflect that it is getting warmer on the display. Once it is at the temperature it was set for, the Elite II will vibrate twice and this will be the notification that it is ready for you to use.
What Products Should Be Used With The G Pen Elite II?
It is noted that this device is only made to be used with ground material. Therefore, concentrates will not work well with the Elite II and could potentially harm the system.
It can hold .5g of ground material but that is also dependent on how well you grind your ground material.
How Do You Clean The Elite II Mouthpiece?
Cleaning and maintaining your G Pen Elite II is pretty straightforward and easy to do. You first want to make sure that the device has been shut down for a good amount of time before you start to clean it. You do not want it to still be hot when you are cleaning it.
You will then want to use a cotton swab or q-tip with isopropyl alcohol on it to wipe around the screen and the silicone insert. Do not forget to wipe around the air flow hole of the mouth piece as well as around the inside walls of the device.
What is great about how they have designed this is that you are also able to remove the screen from the silicone insert and you can also remove the spiral ceramic air path on it too.
After doing this, you will want to soak all components of the insert and the outer zirconia mouthpiece. Use the isopropyl alcohol for the parts to soak in. After they have soaked, you will want to rinse the components in water and let them dry out.
TIP: Before using the device again, turn it on maximum temperature to burn off any leftover isopropyl.
What Is The Battery Like?
The G Pen Elite II offers a 2100mAh lithium-ion battery that is rechargeable and has a Type-C fast-charging. When the battery is fully charged, you will be able to get 60 minutes of heating. And it only takes 1 hour and 30 minutes to fully charge.
You will know that your device will need to be charged when the bar in the top right corner of the screen is reduced and the device will no longer start to heat. When this happens, it will show on the screen that the device needs to be charged.
Is There A Warranty With The Elite II?
It is always important when spending a good amount of money on a product to know if it will be covered under warranty if something goes wrong after buying. Grenco Science states on their website that they will cover a warranty against defects in “materials and workmanship” when using it normally for two years from the date of retail purchase by the original person who bought it.
If you register the device on their website at gpen.com/Register, the warranty will be extended to three years. Registering the Elite II allows for Grenco to notify you if there are any updates to be reported on the product overtime.
If a defect happens during the warranty time frame then Grenco will exchange the specific piece out with a new one. Though the warranty seems to cover defects, it does not cover batteries or neglecting the proper cleaning and loading of the device.
If you want to know the specifics of the warranty, check out their website to know the exact details.
All in all, we find the G Pen Elite II to be a great option for those looking for a good looking, easy to use, quality portable vaporizer that is available at a great price point. We would love to hear your experience with the G Pen Elite II in the comments section.
